Chapter 2231
Frank ignored her and called Peerless Jackt, who quickly answered. "Have you arrived, sir? I'll arrange for someone to receive you right away!" "Yeah," Frank replied and hung up.
Seeing that, Clara scoffed. "What, have you remembered the name of the executive who's supposed to receive you?"
Frank ignored her and went over to sit on the couch right then.
Clara followed, standing nearby and waiting quietly to see how long Frank would keep pretending.
Honestly, bragging that he was taking over the Jarics' estate... How delusional! Was he not worried about biting his tongue with such a big fat lie?
He had the looks, but what was the point? Looks did not get you such an expansive family estate, especially for a young brat. If anything, he looked like a mook and not the person who was said to have inherited the Jarics' estate.
Soon, the floor manager arrived.
Seeing that Clara was just standing quietly near Frank without even offering tea, she strode up and snapped, "What are you doing? Why aren't you greeting the guest?"
Clara laughed. "You haven't heard, Ms. Lewitt, but he's not who you think-he's our new boss."
"What?" Ms. Lewitt laughed out loud. "He has the looks and dresses the part, but I know everyone important in this town, and I've never seen him before. Don't bother, Clara-call security! We're busy people and don't have time to play house."
Clara laughed and pointed Frank to the door, when the crowd in the lobby suddenly cleared a path.
A lady with short hair in a white suit strode down. She stood at five feet seven and had a sharp gaze while walking with an imposing stride. She was the deputy CEO, Jada Turin, who was now the top authority in this office now that the Jarics had pulled out.
Everyone was fawning all over her as soon as they saw her, but she ignored them and walked right up to Frank, "Apologies for the poor hospitality, Mr. Frankton. Let's proceed upstairs."
All the people watching were left dumbfounded-Jada had always carried herself as if she was above the rest, but here she was, prostrating herself in front of Frank!

Not even Pax got that privilege, and she did not even look his way.
It went without saying that she was ice-cold toward everyone else there, as if nothing, save for the gods, were superior to her. That also meant Frank was someone special!
Naturally, both Clara and Ms. Lewitt were gaping in disbelief.
"Are you sure he's our new boss?" Ms. Lewitt even asked out loud. "Aren't you mistaken?"
The crowd around them were shocked too-they were well-informed, having already heard of the Jaric family's fall and everything they had been passed to someone else.
And that someone else... was this youth who only had his looks going for him? That was just bizarre!
"And what have you done?" Jada immediately sensed something wrong from Clara and Ms. Lewitt's reaction.noveldrama
Sensing danger, Ms. Lewitt promptly
shifted the blame. "It's not me, Ms. Turin! It's all Clara-she thought he couldn't be Mr. Frankton and started mocking him! You can check the cameras!"
Clara certainly would like to defend herself, but no words were coming out of her mouth.
She had seen such plot twists in soap operas on TV and certainly did not expect to be on the receiving end of it, leaving her the subject of ridicule.
An executive strode up just then, demanding, "Are you going to leave on your own, or do we have to call security?"
Clara spaced out for a moment but
soon turned to leave with tears welling up in her eyes. She would certainly fawn all over Frank if she could do it again, but regrets really were inconsequential.
What do you think?
