The Cherished Wife

Chapter 903

"They'll be up in a jiffy!" Noelle reassured Brandon, keeping an eye on the unfolding scene outside.

Whatever Peter had said seemed to have left Jordan with a sour look as he and Layla made their exit. Both of them had peered into the car before leaving, and at the sight of Brandon, their faces told a tale of mixed emotions.

Once Layla and Jordan had disappeared, Tania finally spun around and hopped into the car.

Peter shot Tania a meaningful look before he got in too.

Tania, catching sight of Brandon in his safety seat, looked momentarily surprised. Noelle was the one to break the silence. "Peter's always thinking ahead. I need to get a safety seat for Brandon too. It's just not safe without one!"

Peter's lips twitched into a faint smile. "Lareal always says that babies are only safe in their car seats."

Tania's gaze dropped, her mind seemingly full of thoughts.

The moment they hit the mall, Brandon turned into an explorer, tugging Noelle along as he dashed from store to store, his eyes lighting up at every new treasure he found. Noelle, who had a soft spot for Brandon, just could not say no to him. It ended up with Noelle leading a merry Brandon on a shopping adventure while Peter and Tania trailed behind, wallets out and arms full of bags.

Tania had never seen Brandon that happy. Back in Carvonia, she was swamped with work, and Trevon was hardly ever home. They did not even share a roof, and though Brandon kept quiet, Tania could tell he felt alone and craved a playmate.noveldrama

However, an event from a year ago had left Tania scared to take Brandon on any real adventures. As Brandon grew more withdrawn, Tania's worry deepened.

Watching Brandon and Noelle laugh and play together made Tania wonder if she had been wrong all along. Was her way of doing things really the best for Brandon?

Despite her reluctance to spend time with Peter, seeing Brandon's happiness made it impossible for Tania to deny him those joyful moments.

Peter stayed close to Tania,

observing her mix of joy and quiet contemplation. Whenever Brandon's laughter Tang out, Tania's laughter joined in, and Peter felt something stir within him. His gaze, dark and intense, never strayed far from Tania.

After a fun-filled day, they all headed back home, their arms laden with the day's treasures. Brandon, completely tuckered out, had dozed off in Noelle's embrace. His tiny fingers gripped her shirt like he

never wanted to let go. Noelle gazed at his peaceful face, her heart

melting.

Tania watched Noelle cradle Brandon so gently and blurted out, "Hey, Noelle, when are you gonna talk to my brother about having a kiddo of your own?"

Noelle's eyes widened, and she glanced up at Tania, her cheeks flushing a soft pink.

Tania chuckled. "You seem to really adore Brandon."

"He's just so adorable," Noelle cooed, gently stroking Brandon's cheek. "He's a bundle of joy!"

"Well, if you love kids that much, why not start a family with my brother?"

Noelle's laugh was light and airy. "I haven't brought it up with Charles yet! I think starting a family is something you can't rush. We'll just go with the flow!" Noelle had a

ones, probably because she craved the parental love she missed out on as a child. That was what made her treasure the love she had found even more.

The months she had spent with Charles were the happiest of her life. A baby would be a blessing, but if it was not meant to be, they would keep enjoying the journey.

"You've got a point!" Tania agreed, reaching out her arms. "Here, let me hold him. You've been holding him for a while. You must be tired."

"No worries. You can have him now. I don't want to wake Brandon," Noelle whispered, her voice a soft hush. "It must be tough handling Brandon all on your own!"
